Greetings from BRCA 28605! Happy Thursday afternoon. Here are some goings on this week.
Green Hill Road Speeding Project
During the recent Winter Retreat for Council this issue was discussed. The issue of speeding on Green Hill Road has existed for some time. Growth in “cut through” traffic and increased construction vehicle traffic has neighbors concerned. Town jurisdictional limits end at Wonderland Dr. The town cannot enforce or patrol beyond Wonderland Dr. In a recent enforcement effort BRPD Issued the following traffic citations:
2 safe moving violations
14 speeding tickets (average speed 35 mph)
3 stop sign violations
1 equipment violation
4 registration violations
2 for other investigations
Town has proposed making Wonderland Dr an all-way three stop to slow traffic.
