2025 BRCA Member Meeting
We want to thank the 130+ members that attended our annual meeting.  It was the largest annual gathering we have had in our 10 year history.  Thank you so much!  We almost ran out of food and had three bottles of wine left.  Huge success.  You van view the annual video here: https://vimeo.com/1115585250

Radon Town Meeting

BRCA wants to thank Phillip Gibson, NC Radon Coordinator for his excellent presentation at the Community Library yesterday.  We learned a lot about the dangers of radon, distributed test kits to all attendees, and recorded the meeting which will be posted for view next week.  We had some 30 local residents in attendance.

Art In the Park

Art in the Park is this Saturday September along Park Avenue.

Traffic Alert

App State has a home game Saturday so traffic thru town will be heavy at times.

Occupancy Tax

From the TDA:  Occupancy Tax was $199,118.37 representing $3,318,639 in overnight lodging spending in July 2025.  Numbers were down 19.94% from July 2024.  Three lodging properties were closed in 2025 so there were fewer rooms available.
