Dear Blowing Rock Homeowners,

At the Winter Retreat, the Town Council included replacement of the aging water and sewer system on Main Street on the Top Priority List.

We reported on this in our Winter Retreat Post. Funding for this project will come from the Water & Sewer Operating Fund after revising the rate structure based on a rate study. The Town Manager and Town Council will review and probably increase water and sewer fees that have been kept low by a minimum fee based on a usage rate that appears to be too high compared to other systems and not including a standard increase increase in rates based on annual inflation.
