Watauga County Voter Referendum Take 2

We continue to get questions about the wording or the Referendum and what a “Yes vs. No” vote will mean.  
If a person votes YES, this means that the county commissioner election would be changed to 2 commissioners who are at-large and 3 who would be in districts: one district in the middle of Boone and two in other areas.  Each district votes for its own representative who lives in that district. The 2 at-large commissioners would be voted on by all voters in the county.
 
If a person votes NO, it is a vote to keep the new method approved to start this year in which the county is divided into 5 districts, and each district votes for its own representative who lives in that district.
